FAQ'S
JEWELRY DESIGNS TOP I design my jewelry based on my own personal inspirations. What you see on my website is what is "currently" for purchase. At this point in time I am not taking custom orders. Certainly, if you have any questions regarding color or size, please feel free to contact me via email or phone and I will be happy to get back to you as soon as possible. SHIPPING TOP Shipping is FREE! I will be sending your designs via USPS "first class mail" which can take anywhere from 2-7 working days, depending on the day of week, location, weather and time of year. If there is a "rush" delivery required, please let me know and we will work out the extra charges. Upon receiving your order, the turnaround for shipping out will be approximately 24-72 hours. You will receive your unique pieces in a gift box, then wrapped in bubble wrap and placed in a padded envelope to ensure a secure delivery. If for any reason upon opening your package and there appears to be an issue with the pieces, please contact me immediately so we can rectify this for you. I truly want you to be as excited about the pieces you selected, as I am about designing them for you! RETURNS TOP I would like to mention a few things that I feel are of importance; one being that I certainly do not want you to receive your pieces and come to find out that it is not to your liking. Please make sure the size is what you have imagined or need. I have noted on the website in several areas to be very careful about sizing, so please be aware of what may or may not fit you (inch wise). Each piece available for purchase will have a specific size noted. If you receive your jewelry and the size is not the right fit, I will be happy to re-string it for you at the cost of $5.00, plus shipping, which will be determined after you contact me.
Upon receiving your jewelry, if you are not satisfied with the design or color, you will have 7 days to notify me via email or phone and I will be happy to accept the piece back. You will need to package it the way you received it for shipping and safety purposes as well as pay to have it returned to Masego Designs. Some of the higher-end priced pieces will need to be insured as well.
STORING, CARING & MAINTAINING YOUR JEWELRY TOP When creating my designs I mainly use sterling silver and 14 karat gold/gold filled. I also may incorporate what they call mixed metal and lead-free pewter. I believe in the beauty of the actual piece when designing, which is why I use some variety. When using sterling silver it tends to tarnish/oxydize in the open air. As odd as this may sound, my suggestion to prolong this from happening is to keep your designs in a plastic airtight bag. Also try to keep them in a dark area (ie; jewelry box or drawer) as this too will help it from tarnishing.
The following are some recommendations for care and cleaning of your sterling silver, mixed metal or lead-free pewter jewelry. Any of the these products may be used along with diluting it with some water, just to be safe:
*baking soda *non-abrasive toothpaste *mild phosphate free detergent
After mixing with some water, let the piece soak a bit, and repeat if necessary.
If you need to use a brush to get into some small areas, use a baby toothbrush.
Another good product is a "Sunshine Cloth" used wet or dry and will be available on my website shortly. When cleaning sterling silver, always clean in an up and down motion, never in a circular motion. Dry with 100% cotton materials, like cotton balls and clean t-shirts.
